Gramma says —Bless your heart, come on in — the tea's already poured.
Well, hello there, darlin'.

A seat at the table,
and a cold glass for your hand.

Sweet Tea Society is a digital front porch for people who still believe advice tastes better with peach cobbler and a well-timed "bless your heart."

A sun-drenched southern porch with rocking chairs and a pitcher of sweet tea

Gramma says:

Bless your heart, just sit down.

Pull up a chair —

The Porch is where we talk.

Ask a question, spill a secret, or come read what everyone else is fussin' about. Every post here is real and live.

"Bless & release"
Quiet on the porch right now. Be the first to say something.

The Magnolia Collective presents

The Care Corner

For the ones holding it all together.

For families figuring it out. For nurses holding it together. For caregivers who go home and still can't stop caring. You are not alone in this. Come sit down.

Why this exists

I work in a dementia care facility. This section is personal. I've sat with residents who couldn't remember their children's names but still knew every word to a hymn they learned at seven years old. I've watched families walk in carrying so much guilt and grief and love all at once that they didn't know where to put any of it.

The Care Corner is what I built from all of that. You don't have to have it together to be here. That is specifically not a requirement.

"The people in our care facilities are not their diagnosis. They are someone's whole world. Treat them like it."
Real talk first

You are not doing this wrong. Full stop.

Frequently asked

Questions families ask me all the time.

"The guilt means you care. But please — don't let it eat you alive in the parking lot. Come inside. He needs you present."
