The Fine Print, without the fine

Privacy Policyor: what we do with your business.

Last updated: some Tuesday in 2026. We'll tell you if it changes in a real way.

The Short Version

We don't sell your information. We don't rent it, trade it, or slip it into an envelope for a marketing company in New Jersey. We collect the least amount we can get away with, we keep it locked up like Nana's silver, and if you want it gone, we make it gone.

If that's all you needed to know — bless you, go pour yourself something cold. If you want the whole story, keep reading.

What we actually collect

  • Your name and email when you fill out a form — the consultation request, the porch, or the newsletter. We use it to actually get back to you. Wild concept.
  • Your phone number, only if you volunteer it on a consultation request. We won't call you at supper.
  • What you write on The Porch. If you post it publicly, it's public. That's kind of the whole point of a porch.
  • Basic website stuff — the kind of thing every website in America sees: what page you visited, roughly where in the world you are, what device you're on. We use it to make sure the site isn't broken.

What we do NOT do

  • Sell your data. Not to Facebook. Not to a data broker. Not to anybody.
  • Share your information with third parties for their marketing.
  • Send you emails you didn't ask for. If you gave us your email for a consultation, we email you about your consultation. That's it.
  • Post your porch drama to social media without you.
  • Track you around the internet with creepy little pixels.

Who we share things with (barely anyone)

A grown-up website needs a few helpers to run. Ours are: the folks who host the site, the folks who deliver our emails, and the folks who keep the database from catching fire. They only see what they need to do their job, and they've all signed the grown-up version of a pinky-promise (a real contract).

We will hand information over if a court makes us. We are not going to jail for anybody. Sorry, sugar.

Your rights, plain and simple

You can, at any time, ask us to:

  • Tell you what we have on file about you.
  • Fix something that's wrong.
  • Delete you from our system entirely, like you were never here.
  • Take you off the email list. (There's an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. Or holler.)

Email magnoliaandmarketing0319@gmail.com and we'll handle it. No hoops, no forms in triplicate.

Cookies (the digital kind, sadly)

We use the bare minimum — the little cookies that keep you logged in and the site working right. We don't run ad tracking on you. If we ever add real analytics, we'll pick a private one and tell you about it here.

Kids

This site isn't built for children under 13, and we don't want their information. If you're a kid — go outside. Climb something.

Changes to this policy

If we change it in a real way — like collect something new or share it somewhere new — we'll say so up top and, if it matters, email you before it takes effect. We're not the type to sneak.

Questions?

Just ask. magnoliaandmarketing0319@gmail.com. A real person reads it.
